Located at 761 Davis Drive in Uxbridge, Ontario, we are a proudly independent, non-corporate Hospital dedicated to caring for both horses and small animals.

Meet The Team
Dr. Bruce Watt
Dr. Bruce Watt is a highly respected Board-Certified equine veterinary surgeon based in Uxbridge, Ontario. Dr. Watt also has extensive training and special interest in ophthalmology, lameness, and dentistry. He can easily help you out with standing and general anesthesia surgeries as well as tooth extractions.
Dr. Watt graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph in 1989. At the University of Wisconsin he completed a Residency specializing in advanced surgery and shortly thereafter became Board-Certified as a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS). Dr Watt has worked in Western Canada, the United States and Australia and is unique in Ontario in having DVM and ACVS credentials and providing on-farm as well as in-hospital services.
Carly, Veterinary Assistant
Carly graduated from the Veterinary Assistant program at Durham College in 2009 and began working in Markham at a small animal practice. In the autumn of 2025 Carly joined Maple Crest and is passionate about creating a positive and welcoming experience for every client and their pet.
At home Carly’s love for animals continues with her own crew – her cat Otis (who she’ll tell you is cutest in the world but has no nose!), two birds Lionel and Pierre and leopard gecko Lily.
Outside of work, Carly enjoys spending time with her family, especially during the summer months when she can head up north!
Grace, Veterinary Technician
Grace joined the Maple Crest team as a student before officially graduating from Seneca Polytechnic’s Veterinary Technician program in 2026. Grace is determined to provide quality care to every patient and enjoys working with animals of all shapes and sizes with a special love for horses.
Outside of the Hospital, Grace enjoys spending time with family and friends and heading to the cottage during the summer months. If you can’t find Grace, she’ll be at the barn entertaining her warmblood gelding, Kit.
